Chicago Anodizing’s state-of-the-art 70,000 square foot facility in the Garfield Park neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois features two full-service anodizing lines. Combined with an additional 60,000 square feet of manufacturing / processing space, our total 130,000 square feet of manufacturing, includes warehousing (raw and finished goods), shipping/receiving, racking, packing, laser marking, testing, mechanical finishing, and robotic processes to create a unique environment in which our company can consistently meet and exceed our customers’ expectations for on-time delivery and consistent quality of every shipment.

The facility features:

• Six 12′ long x 4′ deep Type II Sulfuric Anodizing Tanks Class I or II (West line)
• 25 custom dye tanks (West line)
• Seven state-of-the-art Laser Marking Machines featuring three automated robots for precision laser marking
• In-house hand polishing and buffing
• In-house time saving and brushing
• In-house sand / bead blasting / tumble deburring
• Chemical acid etch tank to mimic a sand blasted appearance

Our recently expanded East line features:

• New foundations, cement work, and infrastructure
• 54 tanks (previously 31) in a U-Shaped configuration for increased production capacity and overall operational efficiency
• New four-hoist system (doubling previous capacity for Type III class I or II Hardcoat anodizing (14’ L x 42” W x 5’ D) and Type II class I or II anodizing (14’ L x 60” W x 5’ D)
• State-of-the-art ventilation system with 60,000 – CFM (cubic feet per minute) capacity and make-up air units
• New trolleys
• New 200-ton 6 stage refrigeration equipment
• 6 new dye tanks further expanding our range of colors (2 black, 1 bronze, 1 green, 1 orange, and 1 red)
• CHEMBLAST 4100 proprietary pretreatment uniform glass bead blast (14’ L x 24” W x 5’ D tank)
• Type 1 & II yellow and clear Chromate RoHS compliant (14’ L x 24” W x 5’ D tank)
• Automated system controls and bilingual displays
